The Gift of Joy Foundation is an Orange County, CA based nonprofit organization 501(c) (3) that was founded in 2003 on a simple premise: surprise a single parent family, that does not benefit from any social service programs, consumed with the challenge of surviving the day-to-day, with an unexpected financial relief that brings Joy -- no strings attached.
The Gift of Joy Foundation identifies the often overlooked, single, working, parent families who are without benefit of social service programs and then provides an unexpected gift of relief, no strings attached. Most often in the form of gift certificates. Our primary gift certificates are to local grocery stores for food. We also can provide gift certificates to office supply stores for back to school supplies or gift certificates to local department stores to help with holiday expenses.
Hopefully, the spontaneity of the gift will encourage the family to simply “take advantage of the relief and do something that will bring Joy to the entire family.”
We also have an on-going program that the parent can apply for and once qualified they receive a monthly grocery certificate.
